What are Training Paths?
Learn how Training Paths organize multiple training activities into a flexible training workflow.
Overview
Training Paths allow organizations to build structured training workflows using multiple types of training activities.
Unlike the legacy training system, where a trainer and trainee completed a Training Shift together, Training Paths can combine different training experiences into a single path.
Currently available Training Path steps include:
- Solo Training
- Shadow Training
- Quizzes
- Flash Card Reviews
- Resource Reviews
- SCORM Modules
Additional Training Path step types may become available as new functionality is released.
Things to Know
- Training Paths currently exist alongside the legacy training system.
- Each Training Path can contain multiple steps.
- Some step types require content to be created before they can be added to a Training Path.
- Solo Training and Shadow Training steps use Training Checklists as their source content.
- Training Paths can be assigned to users or made available for users to take through the Course Library.
Example
A new employee onboarding path could include a Resource Review, a Solo Training checklist, a Shadow Training session, and a Quiz. The trainee works through each activity as part of the same Training Path.
