# I clicked the login link and it says the link is invalid. What happened?

## Magic login links expire when a new login email is sent, so wait up to a few minutes for the email and always use the most recent link.

Magic links expire when a **new login request is made**.

If you request a second login email before the first one arrives, **only the newest email will work**. If you use the earlier email, the link will appear invalid.

**Tip:**  
Wait about **30–60 seconds** for the email before requesting another link, however in some rare cases it can take **up to 5 minutes** to receive the email. Always use the **most recent login email** you received.
