How do I set the Overtime Threshold?
Define when overtime applies based on scheduled hours.
Overview
The Overtime Threshold setting defines the number of hours an employee can be scheduled before overtime rules and visual indicators are applied.
Once an employee’s scheduled hours exceed this value, Shifty will highlight overtime and enable related functionality to help you manage labor more effectively.
How to Update This Setting

From the Shifty WebApp, select the dropdown menu for your location in the top left of the navigation pane

Select Account

Select Manage for your location

Select Settings in the left sub-navigation

Locate Overtime Threshold

Enter the number of hours after which overtime should apply

Click Save

Overtime indicators appear once an employee’s scheduled hours exceed this threshold

This setting helps identify when employees may be entering overtime

It does not automatically prevent scheduling overtime, but provides visibility and tools to manage it
Example
If you set the Overtime Threshold to 40 hours, Shifty will highlight and apply overtime-related functionality when an employee is scheduled for more than 40 hours in a week.
